Sustainable Machining & Injection Molding

Sustainability is a part of our culture.

There are many aspects to it, including the concept of avoiding the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance and minimize our carbon footprint. When it comes to sustainability in manufacturing it relates to the creation of manufactured products that use processes that are nonpolluting and conserve energy and natural resources.

Additionally, these processes are economically sound, safe for employees and socially responsible for our communities and consumers. In short, we are committed to sustainable injection molding and machining.

We are energy efficient by the use of our solar energy apparatus that provides up to 80% of the power consumed at our facility and makes up to 1.5MHW of power made on any given day. Not only that, we also use environmentally friendly cutting fluids, coolants and lubricants in our manufacturing processes and operations.

Reducing Waste

Our sustainability initiatives provide and offer a number of ways to reduce waste including:

  • The availability of “Returnable Racking”, which minimizes the amount of packing material that our customers need to dispose of
    • They can be custom made to fit a specified footprint.
    • And with standard order quantities this can also help reduce the lead time of your parts
  • Working with our customers on bulk shipments of parts to reduce packaging waste, which can also reduce the overall cost of the parts
  • Recycling of materials like chips and scrap in our daily manufacturing operations

Improving Production Efficiency

Continuous improvement is engrained both in our manufacturing practices and to conserve energy and natural resources. We track waste and scrap and are always looking for ways to reduce it. As we get into jobs, we will work to see if there are better ways to make things and will pass a savings along to the customer.

We issue corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) when issues are found which allow us to improve for ourselves and our customers.
